Inverness Primary School creates an Eco Garden
Crown Primary School in Inverness have a wonderful new garden area in their playground. Designed by local architect and parent Julie Macrae, the work was carried out by staff, pupils and other members of the working party to create a fruit and vegetable garden with raised beds and a musical /sensory area that has a Hand Made Places "Dragonfly" play sculpture in a "pond"of blue soft play. They have also created an Outdoor Classroom using our beautiful Story Teller's Chair and the Horseshoe Bench situated in a lawned area that is partially enclosed by a Beech hedge.
Landscaped Garden Design for Nursery School
A nursery school garden, designed by Helen Taylor Landscape & Garden Design, has been nominated as "One of the best designs in 2010" by the Society of Garden Designers. The garden at the Little School Nursery in Burley-in-Wharfedale is within the grounds of the local Methodist Church and has been named "The Garden of Creation". It is used by the Nursery, Church groups and the community in general.
Helen has integrated some timber seating supplied by Hand made Places into her design. The Modular Seating and Block Seats blend well within the natural setting, providing seating for outdoor lessons, a resting place or for quiet reflection in the beautiful garden.
